Fred Ostrovskis-Wilkes

I'm a writer and photographer, born and raised in the Peak District. My work often explores themes of identity, community, belief and faith, and the relationship between people and place, especially where the pastoral meets the industrial.

I'm drawn to stories that emerge from the edges of things, as well as the spaces in between.

When I'm not writing or behind a camera, I'm probably out of breath somewhere craggy and bleak, or working on Wilkes Wood, the web agency I co-founded in 2018. I now live in Sheffield with my partner, Amelia, whose patience, insight, and encouragement shape more of this work than she'll ever admit.
